Ten days connecting East Africa's two gorilla strongholds — Uganda's Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and Rwanda's Volcanoes National Park — with a lake stop built in to recover before you fly home.
Day by Day
01
Arrive Entebbe
Met on arrival and transferred to a lakeside lodge to rest before flying south the next morning.
02
Fly to Bwindi
A scenic charter flight direct to the forest's edge, arriving in time for an afternoon at the lodge.
03–04
Bwindi Gorilla Trekking
Two days in the forest, including a habituated gorilla family trek and a guided community walk.
05
Cross to Rwanda
An overland transfer through the Virunga foothills into Volcanoes National Park.
06–07
Volcanoes National Park
A second trek — golden monkeys, or a further gorilla family, depending on the permits arranged.
08–09
Lake Kivu
Two nights unwinding on the water after five days on the trail.

Depart
A final lakeside morning, then the drive to Kigali for your onward flight home.
